The longest section, then, of the satin stitching would be just above the little “bite” in the tail.ĭoes that make sense? I think at that point, you’d end up with maybe a half inch length on the satin stitch, above the bite, maybe a bit longer. I would start with a top left to lower right slant on the lower narrows of the tail, and keep that slant going all the way through the base of the S, and start to compensate around the lower curve of the S around the first vine crossing, going up. But unless the monogram is stitched “very” large, I think it could still quite easily be managed. For satin stitch, I can see the difficulty, as it seems that any direction would necessarily end up with a long coverage at some section there in the tail. Hi, Joey! I think I may have given the impression previously that monograms can only be hand embroidered using specialty threads, like coton a broder. It’s been kind of fun and challenging, anyway!
